My husband and I went to an old 19th century wine farm century. It was a place far from the city in the countryside, and nice to meet up with your loved one. I was delighted with my stay!
La Ferme de la Bretesche is run by the charming couple Jacques and Michèle Destouches. They welcomed us very well. The farm is located in the commune of Faverolles sur Cher in the Loir-et-Cher department. It is close to the Loire Valley castles. I fell under the spell of this old building, it is really ideal for lovers and families!
Her guesthouse was a haven of peace. I was able to relax, which was perfect at this stage of my pregnancy. My first baby was growing inside me and I wanted to take some time together as a couple before he arrived. I had a peaceful stay to explore the Valley of the Kings.
We walked through the Loire Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage area. It was a cultural landscape along a river. It was a memorable trip. You can go there when you are pregnant or with a young child.
I was able to discover the architecture of the Château de Valencay and the local gastronomy of the Loire Valley. I loved it… We easily get lost in this magnificent region of Loir et Cher which is a real change of scenery for a Parisian in search of nature. It was a great discovery and a real breath of fresh air. If you are pregnant and looking for a place to relax for a weekend, not too far from Paris, and even without being pregnant, I recommend this magnificent place in the heart of nature!
I was able to treat myself to a night with my husband and son in a Passé Recomposé Suite. The rooms were quite spacious and very pretty. The farm offers affordable prices.
Future mothers, young mothers, I highly recommend this Bretesche farm. It’s worth a little detour!
From 95 euros per night.
