Is cooking also an important part of your life? Do you prefer to give your children (or you, young mothers) homemade cakes? But you are too busy to find the time…
Here is a recipe that will delight young and old in no time! And which is a real alternative to brioches in the morning for breakfast and for a snack.
I like giving this to my son because at least I know exactly what's in it...
Do you have 15 minutes to spare? Then let's go. Future mothers, I'm pretty sure you're going to fall in love! Your little belly is likely to get even bigger!
Preheat the oven to 220°C (thermostat 7-8).
In a large enough bowl, mix flour (organic if possible – 225 g), yeast (1 sachet) and butter (ideally semi-salted Vendée and organic): 40 g cut into pieces, by hand. Crush everything between your fingers.
Add the sugar (I put 3 spoons but you can put up to 6 if you like it sweet) and the salt (pinch) then the milk. I put almond milk. (15cl). Work until you get a soft dough (add flour if the dough is too sticky). On a floured work surface, roll out the dough so that it is 2 cm thick. Cut out disks of dough about 5-6 cm in diameter using a glass or a cookie cutter.
If the texture is too soft, add more flour. It really should be a thick paste before putting the pieces in the oven.
Place the dough discs on the baking sheet (previously covered with baking paper) and bake for 12 to 15 minutes depending on the thickness (they should be golden brown and puffed up). And there you have it! Enjoy your meal, future and new mothers!
