Quiche lorraine sur pâte brisée maison

Quiche Lorraine on homemade shortcrust pastry

An idea for cooking one evening when you have friends over? Short of ideas and wanting to make something good, quick and delicious for expectant mothers, have you thought about quiche Lorraine?

And what about quiche lorraine with a homemade shortcrust pastry recipe? Nothing could be simpler, more economical and you know 100% what's in it. Nothing better to feed the little being that is evolving inside you. It will be satisfied and nourished with 100% natural ingredients!

So, here we go! To make your shortcrust pastry, you need 200g of flour that I choose wholemeal and organic because it is better for your health and therefore for pregnant women. And I add 150g of unsalted butter that I cut into cubes to the flour. I knead everything together, adding a little water to "bind" this mixture. I crumble it, and make a large ball of dough that I will then flatten by hand on a pie dish.

The shortcrust pastry is done! I know you are already salivating and can’t wait to discover what happens next…

Place a few pieces of butter at the bottom of the tart for a delicious quiche.

For the content of the quiche Lorraine, brown 200g of bacon in a frying pan, which I prefer to buy from a butcher for the quality of his products and which taste better! I add 3 eggs, 20cl of milk, 20cl of quality crème fraîche (I love crème fraîche from Isigny sur mer), salt, pepper and pour everything into the pie dish.

Optionally, you can add grated Emmental cheese on top. Don't hesitate to overdo it during your pregnancy! Baby needs it.

Then heat the quiche for 45 minutes in the oven preheated to 180 degrees and enjoy.

This dish is ideal for family dinners, and young and old will enjoy it just as much as future mothers! An easy, tasty and homemade dinner!
