euvième Ciel: the name is pretty, the collection just as much. We love this brand of brand new maternity clothes, founded by a young converted mother, which brings elegance and pretty materials to the pregnant woman's wardrobe.
A year ago, Candice Merlet had a baby. Transformed by her pregnancy, she decided to give up her job as an analyst. Driven by the desire to create something of her own and boosted by the parental model – she comes from a family of entrepreneurs – Candice decided to embark on an entrepreneurial adventure. Her field was all found: during her nine months of pregnancy, she regretted too much not finding, within her reach, pretty, elegant and affordable clothes, to go to the office, to an evening or to a wedding.
The idea of Ninth Heaven is in the making. It will only take Candice six months to create her small business. However, the young woman does everything by herself, starting with the styling: she designs all the models, taking inspiration from what she would have liked to wear when pregnant.
Accessible French manufacturing
To discover her line, everything happens on her website and the e-shop. For our part, we fell in love with the Lemercier overalls, a classic for pregnant women, made more feminine thanks to the knots on the shoulders, which allow you to adjust the length of the straps according to the size of your bust. In the same spirit, the Monceau skirt-overalls charms us with its half-retro, half-casual look.
True to her promise, Candice also offers very elegant pieces. For example, we can perfectly see ourselves attending a wedding in her Bohemian dresses or Ramatuelle . And for everyday life, its sober tops and shirts, perfectly cut for round bellies, promise mornings without headaches.
To top it all off, Neuvième Ciel is a brand made in France by artisans with well-established know-how. Candice was an analyst for Chanel, so it's no surprise that she was keen to employ hands who had worked in the greatest French fashion houses. With a focus on the right price: the most elegant dresses don't exceed the 100 euro mark. Expect to pay 25 euros for a pretty, simple top.
