Stretching to relieve pain
There are different exercises that can help relieve the pain of the first trimester of pregnancy. Here are some examples that you can practice at home, in your bedroom or in your garden.
Standing or sitting, pull one arm toward the opposite shoulder, and repeat this movement with the other.
Still in the same position, lean forward until you feel a stretch in your leg resting on the ground.
To stretch your core, lean it to each side. In a sitting position, you can lean forward slowly while keeping your back straight.
For severe back pain, get into a four-legged position and round your back.
Sports to avoid during pregnancy
Although doing sports activities proves to be beneficial for both mother and baby, there is a list of sports to avoid for the health of the baby.
Indeed, avoid trying a sport that you have never practiced, do not break your habits. If you have never done running, why start during pregnancy?
If you are athletic by nature, you can continue during your pregnancy, but be careful, practice it at moderate intensity.
First of all, don't forget to ask your gynecologist for advice. Generally, all sports are allowed at the beginning of pregnancy, but once you reach the last trimester, it is advisable to gradually reduce them and switch to rest mode until the baby is born.
In short, pregnancy is an event that brings a lot of joy. However, until the baby arrives, the mother's body undergoes several changes to adapt to this new life. In the meantime, it is essential to take care of your well-being by continuing to practice various sports and stretches. Practicing yoga is also a little extra to de-stress.
