Le Mas du Langoustier pour un we en amoureux, coupé du monde

Le Mas du Langoustier for a romantic weekend, cut off from the world

Traveling is one of my passions and I decided to share with you some of my favorite places to give you ideas for spending a romantic weekend, with or without children.

And I will start with the Mas du Langoustier, this hotel located at the end of the island of Porquerolles, sheltered by pines and olive trees, far from the summer crowds.

This hotel struck me, not for the quality of its services, but for its authentic side, because you feel like you're in a typical, family-run Provencal farmhouse. You immediately feel "at home".

You get lost there, you feel disoriented in a few minutes, among the cicadas, lulled by the sound of the sea and the wind.

To reach the Mas, a mini bus takes you from the ferry terminal to the entrance of this estate, where after a few winding paths in the mountains, you will discover a marvel... A brightly colored farmhouse nestled at the end of a long path at the end of which is a huge terrace overlooking the small private cove of this hotel and where the luckiest come to have an aperitif by boat opposite the Mas.

Only the initiated have the privilege of staying in the bay in the evening because the island literally empties after the departure of the last maritime shuttles which connect the island to Lavandou and Hyères.

Although this hotel is not one of the most affordable (count 400 euros per night), you will quickly be enchanted by the magic of the place and will spend one or two most romantic nights under the thousands of stars that stand out under the clear sky of this island.

I liked this place because being lost on an island, far from everything, gives a very exotic side. I found that it was the perfect place to go away as a couple, and leave the child(ren) for a few nights to find each other.

Future mothers, if you are expecting your first child and want to enjoy your last moments together, this place is for you.

A special shout out to the young pastry chef at this hotel who, every morning, makes to-die-for homemade pastries for breakfast (the best brioches I've ever eaten in my life), and whose humility is matched only by the quality of his cooking. He deserves to be talked about.

Finally, its restaurant established on the terrace in the pine forest with a view of the sea will take you on a beautiful taste journey. Its table is exquisite with fresh and local products, having nothing to envy the greatest restaurants in the region. Future mothers, you will be in heaven there. Your growing bellies will ask for more.
